Palm Springs Film Fest to Screen 50 Foreign Language Oscar Hopefuls

The Palm Springs Film Festival’s Awards Buzz section will screen 50 of the 83 official Oscar submissions for foreign language film, the festival has announced.

A jury of international film critics will select the Fipresci Award for best foreign language film, in addition to best actor and best actress.

Among the selections are Argentina’s “Wild Tales,” Belgium’s “Two Days, One Night,” Canada’s “Mommy,” Latvia’s “Rocks in My Pockets,” Poland’s “Ida,” Russia’s “Leviathan,” Sweden’s “Force Majeure” and Turkey’s “Winter Sleep.”
