Location Managers Guild Sets Inaugural Awards

'Nebraska,' 'Her,' 'American Hustle' scouts among film nominees

Among other honors they have racked up, “American Hustle,” “Her” and “Nebraska” can add the inaugural Location Managers Guild of America Awards. The other nominees in this categories are scouts for “Iron Man 3” and “Saving Mr. Banks.” Among TV programs, location managers for “Game of Thrones,” “House of Cards,” “Breaking Bad,” “Behind the Candelabra” and “Scandal” were nominated.

“We are ecstatic with our nominees,” said guild president Nancy Haecker. “They represent the enormous artistic contribution of locations to the vision, message and tone of production. We are equally excited about the eclectic choices in theme and content, as well as representation of location professionals from around the globe,”

The Eva Monley Award, the Humanitarian Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award will be the honorary laurels presented at the ceremony.

The winners will be announced on March 29 at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills.
