Theo Kingma has been re-elected president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn., the org that annually gives out the Golden Globes, for the 2014-2015 year.
Also voted in at the organization’s annual election meeting this afternoon were Lorenzo Soria, VP; Lilly Liu, executive secretary; Meher Tatna, treasurer; and Ali Sar, Anke Hoffmann, Helen Hoehne, Jorge Camara and Yoram Kahana to the board of directors, with Luca Celada chosen as alternate board member.
“I’m honored by my colleagues here at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for allowing me the opportunity to once again serve as their president,” said Kingma. “I am very much looking forward to another term, working alongside the membership on our continuous endeavors like the Round Table Series, and presenting yet another spectacular ceremony with Tina and Amy in January!”
Kingma has been a member of the HFPA for more than 20 years, serving as the executive secretary for two years, and sitting on the board of directors for four years. The annual HFPA Installation Luncheon to honor the officers and directors will be held later this summer, at which time the organization makes its annual contributions to non-profit organizations and film schools.
