The three-day extravaganza that is the Intl. Indian Film Academy will be held April 24-26  in Tampa, Fla., bringing 30,000 Bollywood fans with it.

In the 15 years of its existence, the IIFA Weekend and Award Celebrations, which include films, fashion shows, cricket matches as well as serious panel discussions that culminate in an awards show, has been held in cities as varied as London, Singapore, Amsterdam, Toronto and Macau.

Bollywood stars Anil Kapoor (“24”) and Priyanka Chopra (“Krrish 3”) will join a caravan of IIFA organizers as they visit Los Angeles, New York and Tampa to tubthump the event. The impact of the IIFA, organized by Wizcraft Intl., can be as much as $30 million to the host city. Broadcasts of the function have drawn some 800 million viewers from 108 countries.

In previous years, Bollywood stars such as Rekha, pictured; Deepika Padukone; Shah Rukh Khan; Amitabh Bachchan, his son, Abhishek, with wife Aishwarya; and Hrithik Roshan have taken part in the confab.
