More often than many might imagine, there are scads of celebs and high-profile types who lease out their multimillion-dollar homes when not in residence. One such Tinseltown twosome currently in the mood to let their A-lister L.A. compound: Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher. While the couple’s walled, gated and heavily fortified spread, located in a celebrity-saturated section of the Hollywood Hills, does not appear in the Multiple Listing Service, eagle-eyed informant Sammy D. Snitch got in touch to let us know the posh property popped up on a prominent real estate agent’s digital portal at a rental rate that is “Upon Request.”

Our research indicates the Fisher-Baron Cohens purchased the property for $14 million in July 2010 and, as it turns out, floated the estate as an off-market rental listing earlier this year at $85,000 per month. Digital marketing materials show the approximately four-acre compound has five drive-on gates and a seven-bedroom and 10-bathroom Mediterranean villa, plus a guesthouse/pool pavilion with columned portico, a detached home theater, and a caretaker cottage. Naturally, there are extensive manicured gardens, a heated swimming pool and lighted tennis court.

The Fisher-Baron Cohens continue to own a much smaller if still quite pricey pad on a barely there cul-de-sac near the top of Laurel Canyon. Mister Baron Cohen acquired the 2,800-ish-square-foot mid-century contemporary in December 2005 for $2.45 million, and digital evidence shows the couple had it up for lease in the fall of 2011 for $10,995 per month. At the same time the house came up for lease a second time, in February 2013 at $9,950 per month, it was also put on the sales market at $2.6 million. It failed to sell and was taken off the market in May 2013.
