Marc Anthony Lists Encino Mini-Mansion

SELLER: Marc Anthony
LOCATION: Encino, CA
PRICE: $2,750,000
SIZE: 6,263 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms

YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: As we first learned from Big Al at the always informative San Fernando Valley blog, Jennifer Lopez’s third ex-husband, Marc Anthony, listed his house at the rear of an itty-bitty gated Enclave in Encino, CA, with an asking price of $2.75 million.

Mister Anthony, who reportedly rakes in an astonishing $1.25 million a month and pays out almost $45,000 per month in child support, only purchased the gated micro-estate in April 2013 for $2.25 million, as per property records, and dumped, as per listing details, about $300,000 into renovations.

Listing details show the late 1980s-era mock-Med, which sits less than 150-feet from the always jam-packed and ferociously loud 101 Freeway, has five bedrooms and six bathrooms in 6,263 square feet. (For the record, listing details also state the “home comes complete with 6 beds and 9 baths.”)

Not surprisingly — this being a suburban 1980s mock-Med manse, after all — there’s a double-height foyer with wrought iron-railed staircase. There are roomy formal living and dining rooms with dark wood floors plus a tile-floored den with at least two large flat-screen televisions. A fully carpeted and paneled home theater room has a built-in wet bar and a large screen that drops down from the ceiling in front of the fireplace.

The over-sized eat-in kitchen has some sort of faux-pressed tin ceiling detail that this property gossip can’t make sense of, raised-panel wood cabinetry painted black, olive-green ceramic tile counter tops and high-grade appliances that include a Kia-sized commercial-grade venting hood.

The second floor master suite is composed of a spacious bedroom with television surmounted fireplace, private wrought-iron railed balcony that overlooks the backyard, a large, bi-level bathroom with a second boob-toob surmounted fireplace and what listing details describe as “every woman’s dream… a store sized closet!”

French doors topped by crescent-shaped transoms open to a resort-style yard with expansive stone tile terraces, a built-in barbecue station near a dining gazebo, a dark-bottomed swimming pool and spa and a poolside cabana emblazoned with a huge lighted sign that reads “BAR.”

As far as Your Mama can tell from a brief perusal of property records, Mister Anthony continues to own a gated and heavily fortified, 8.5-ish-acre Long Island (NY) compound with a 10,000-square-foot-plus red brick Colonial-style main manse that he first shared with his first wife, Daynara Torres, and later shared with second wife Jennifer Lopez who, back in the day, hired “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” decorator Thom Filicia to do up the day-core in a high-Hollywood fashion.

Meanwhile, Mister Anthony’s extra famous ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, has been on a bit of a buying spree. Last year the famously big-bootied superstar dropped $9.995 million on an 8,500-square-foot shingled mansion in the Hamptons and she’s reportedly in the process of acquiring of sprawling duplex penthouse atop a swank boutique building in New York City that was last listed for $22.25 million.
