Thomas Lesinski is stepping down as president of digital content and distribution at Legendary Entertainment.

While a reason for his departure was not given, the former Paramount digital exec will now focus on launching a digital production shingle that will have a first look deal at Legendary once he leaves the company over the next several weeks, Variety can confirm.

Legendary has been looking to ramp up its digital strategy and had turned to Lesinski to help build out that effort last year.

Lesinski reported to Bruce Rosenblum, president of Legendary Television and Digital media.

At Paramount, Lesinski served as president of worldwide home entertainment before founding Paramount Digital Entertainment.

Legendary declined to comment.
