Netflix continues to go for the laughs, acquiring exclusive rights to comedian Iliza Shlesinger’s “Freezing Hot” standup special that will premiere on the streaming service worldwide Jan. 23, 2015.

In the one-hour special, recorded at Gothic Theatre in Denver, Shlesinger focuses on the universal struggles between men and women. The comic — using hashtag-enabled catchphrases — explores truths about first-date attire, fantasy breakups and women’s obsession with fall. It follows her 2013 “War Paint” standup special, which is currently available on Netflix streaming.

“Freezing Hot” joins several other Netflix exclusive standup specials from Chelsea Handler, Nick Offerman, Russell Peters, Aziz Ansari, Jim Jefferies, Chelsea Peretti and Bill Burr. Netflix also had acquired a standup special from Bill Cosby but shelved plans to add it to the queue amid an ongoing series of rape allegations raised against Cosby.

Shlesinger shared the news of Netflix’s pickup on Instagram and Twitter:

“Freezing Hot” was written and performed by Shlesinger, who is repped by Agency for the Performing Arts. Exec producers are Shlesinger, Brian Volk-Weiss, Kara Baker, Ryan Polito, Cisco Henson and Jack Vaughn.
