Jane Krakowski ‘Leaks’ ‘Peter Pan Live’ Audition on Funny or Die

Funny or Die has gotten its hands on the audition tape of “30 Rock” star and, as she makes clear in the video, Tony Award-winning actress Jane Krakowski for Peter Pan in NBC’s upcoming “Peter Pan Live” production.

The starring role went to Allison Williams, but Krakowski gives it her best shot, with an over-sexualized Peter who’s scared of heights and shares some character traits with Tinkerbell. And even if it didn’t work out for her, Krakowski still shows her chops, belting out the closing lines of a tune from a Broadway favorite on her way out the door.

This is not the first less-than-serious audition for the live musical production, as Laura Benanti, who appeared in NBC’s “The Sound of Music Live!” posted a video earlier this year in which she tries out for nearly every conceivable part in the show.

Benanti put a shot across the bow of FOD earlier today via twitter.

And it appears “Peter Pan Live” producer Neil Meron has her back.

“Peter Pan Live” airs at 8 p.m. on Dec. 4 on NBC.
