Glam Media is ramping up its original programming efforts under a rebranded identity, the company disclosed at its Digital Content NewFront presentation Tuesday.
Now named Mode Media, the 10-year-old firm boasts 250 million unique visitors across its range of web properties, according to Comscore–big enough to make it the seventh biggest media company online.
Mode unveiled 10 original series across multiple channels across categories encompassing style, fashion, food, parenting and more. To support its first slate, Mode is launching a production studio based in Los Angeles and is tapping CAA to further its entertainment efforts.
“The next generation digital video company needs to be a combination of a TV network and a pure digital video player like Netflix and Hulu—offering exclusive original programming and direct- to-consumer distribution,” said Samir Arora, founder and CEO of Mode.
Details on the new Mode programs can be seen here.
