Disney is giving “SportsCenter” the boot as it looks to put a greater emphasis on ESPN’s network of channels on mobile devices.

ESPN will relaunch a new online presence in April, which will have the sports cabler’s website and apps operate under one name — that of the cabler itself — in the U.S. and the U.K.

The destinations now operate under the “SportsCenter” banner.

April is the 20th anniversary of ESPN.com.

The relaunch includes a cleaner design, new levels of personalization, and more social elements to share content.

The site is also heavily emphasizing video, with a massive play button placed over images to promote the content.

ESPN reached a record 94 million unique users in September.

The network also said 76% of EPSN’s digital users came through smartphones and tablets, with 40% opting to access the company’s content through apps.

Overall, 17% of its traffic came from individuals playing fantasy football, which now counts 7.5 million players, and records 25 million transactions per week, and sends out 47 million alerts per week.
