The French Revolution is scary to Rob Zombie, too.
The musician and horror aficionado has teamed with video game publisher Ubisoft to produce an animated short tied to “Assassin’s Creed: Unity,” the latest installment of the company’s popular franchise.
Produced by New Science, the short (which can be viewed above), is illustrated by “The Walking Dead” co-creator Tony Moore and is meant to bring to life the chaotic, bloody and brutal events behind the French Revolution, the theme of “Unity.” The animation and editing was handled by MachinEyes.
Each game in the “Assassin’s Creed” series has been designed around an historical setting, with the American Revolution also having been featured.
“Assassin’s Creed: Unity” will storm into retailers Oct. 28.
Ubisoft has a major presence at Comic-Con this week in San Diego, with the company having built an elaborate obstacle course to promote “Assassin’s Creed: Unity.”
