Shine International has appointed Ted Bookstaver as SVP, Head of Americas, the distribution company announced Thursday.

Starting Oct. 1, he will head sales and acquisitions activity for Shine International across both North and South America, reporting to Shine Intl. CEO Nadine Nohr. Bookstaver joins Shine from Eyeworks International Distribution, where he served as Senior Vice President of International Sales.

“Ted joins us with a wealth of experience, both globally and within the Americas. He has a deep understanding of the value of IP and a proven track record in maximising its value across scripted and non-scripted genres, traditional and new platforms, all the while building growth in each of his previous roles,” said Nohr in a statement. “We are delighted he will be spearheading this hugely important region for us and welcome him to the team.”

Bookstaver added, “It is truly a privilege to join an industry leader such as Shine. I very much look forward to collaborating with Nadine and the Shine International team towards its continued growth and success.“

Prior to his role at Eyeworks, Bookstaver held the position of VP, Sales of King World International Productions, a division of CBS Broadcast International.
