“This Is the End” helmers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg will be honored with the CinemaCon Comedy Filmmakers of the Year award at this year’s convention.

CinemaCon managing director Mitch Neuhauser made the announcement Wednesday, praising the filmmakers’ recent collaborations.

“As writers, producers and directors, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have teamed up to bring audiences around the world some of the most outrageously, insanely funny comedies in recent years. Just take this past summer’s box-office smash ‘This Is the End.’ Do I need to say more?” Neuhauser said in a statement. “When these two team up, hilarity and box office success ensue.”

Goldberg and Rogen, who grew up together in Vancouver, have worn many hats in the biz, from writer to producer and director.

Following their first joint venture as the writers of 2007’s “Superbad,” the two worked together on projects including “Pineapple Express” and “The Green Hornet” and served as exec producers of Judd Apatow pics “Knocked Up” and “Funny People.” After forming Point Grey Pictures (PGP) in 2011, the duo made their directorial debut with 2013’s “This Is the End.”

Universal’s “Neighbors,” which Goldberg and Rogen produced, bows on May 9, followed by their next helming collaboration, “The Interview,” due out Oct. 10.

The confab runs March 24-27 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The award will be presented during the closing night gala.
