NBCUniversal named Mark Kornblau senior veep of communications for its News Group, while setting Kathy Kelly-Brown. a company veteran who had that role, in a new job leading a newly division aimed at marshaling  talent for promotional and marketing opportunities as well as streamlining booking procedures for the company’s many programs

Kornblau will report to Pat Fili-Krushel, chairman of the NBCUniversal News Group, which encompasses NBC News, MSNBC and CNBC. He begins his job February 17.

Most recently, Kornblau was managing director of corporate communications for JPMorgan Chase, where he worked with the executive leadership team on strategic communications and oversaw media relations in support of the firm’s government relations and corporate responsibility efforts.

Brown, assemble comprehensive publicity opportunities for projects such as upcoming film and television premieres, album releases and book launches.” She will report to Adam Miller, NBCU’s exec veep who oversees corporate communications and human relations. She has had a long career at NBCU, doing entertainment publicity for its network as well as corporate communications.
