Kenny Miller has been appointed senior VP of digital programming and product of ABC Family. The announcement was made Wednesday by ABC Family prez Tom Ascheim.

“Kenny is a digital pioneer,” Ascheim said. “He is going to bring that incredible talent to us and help us find new ways for our digital and social users to interact with our network and each other in new and meaningful ways.”

In his new role, Miller will develop ABC Family’s presence on streaming platforms as well as in social-media and mobile spaces.

“ABC Family has a great digital footprint driven by incredibly successful social shows,” Miller said, adding that his focus will be on “building more digital programming and product that will entertain our audience and allow them to participate in new ways that bring additional value and meaning to our interactions.”

Miller comes to ABC Family from social network Kam.io, which he co-founded. Prior to that, he held the position of exec VP and head of digital product for MTV Networks. He also held positions at Nickelodeon, Viacom New Media and Apple.
