United Talent Agency has hired veteran digital media exec Greg Goodfried as an agent in the digital media department.

Goodfried’s role will be to focus on helping to grow all aspects of UTA’s digital practice, and help spearhead efforts to create new digital revenue streams for the agency’s clients.

“Greg’s creativity and thought leadership in building digital businesses around big ideas, brands and influencers will be major assets in servicing our clients,” said Brent Weinstein, Head of Digital Media for UTA in a statement. “He is a pioneer of the modern digital media landscape, and we are excited to have him join our growing team.”

Goodfried began his career as a corporate attorney before co-creating “LonelyGirl15,” an interactive, web-based series. He then co-founded EQAL to build similar digital media franchises, but in 2009 he focused his efforts on branded entertainment and celebrity-branded content, launching LaurenConrad.com.

“UTA has built a world class digital team providing value for talent, startups and brands. I’m excited to join Brent and the team to build on their great momentum,” Goodfried said in a statement.
