Comcast has inked a new deal with Warner Bros. and will now sell the studio’s titles through the Xfinity On Demand digital store.

Xfinity TV customers will be able to purchase Warner Bros. movies and TV shows, including blockbusters like “Gravity,” “Argo” and “The Great Gatsby.” Many titles will be available weeks before their DVD release. Xfinity On Demand Digital Store’s offerings already include films and TV shows from Fox, Lionsgate and NBCUniversal.

“Our Xfinity On Demand platform provides customers with the most current content, where and when they want it, and the incredible success of our digital store and cloud-based digital locker will only continue to grow as we expand the platform,” said Michael Schreiber, senior VP of content acquisition at Comcast.

In November, Comcast became the first U.S.  pay-television provider to sell Digital HD content for its customers to download and stream. Comcast was subsequently named the nation’s top digital seller of “Despicable Me 2” for the week ending Dec. 3.

Content purchased through the VOD service is stored in the cloud locker and can be viewed on a TV, PC or mobile device.
