“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” directors Anthony and Joe Russo and Joe Johnston (“Captain America: The First Avenger”) will direct the first episodes of ABC’s “Agent Carter” series.

Louis D’Esposito, co-president of Marvel Studios, will helm the pilot, which stars Hayley Atwell, reviving her role from the “Captain America” films.

The series will revolve around Peggy Carter, seen in the first two “Captain America” films. Show is set in 1946 after World War II has ended and Steve Rogers (Captain America) has been frozen.

While the Russo brothers have closed their deal to direct the second and third episodes, Johnston’s deal for the fourth is being finalized, Marvel said during the company’s TV panel at Comic-Con in San Diego on Friday.
