Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Sets Date for 2015 Awards

The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild (IATSE Local 76) has set a Valentine’s Day date for its 2015 awards ceremony.

IATSE Local 706 prexy Susan Cabral-Ebert announced Wednesday that next year’s Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Awards will take place Feb. 14 at Paramount Studios.

The annual event honors outstanding achievements for make-up artists and hair stylists in film, TV, commercials and live theater.

Submissions open Oct. 14, and the nominations will be announced on Jan. 8. Final ballot voting begins Jan. 19 and closes Feb. 10, just days before the ceremony.

Honorees for the distinguished artisan award and the two lifetime achievement awards are expected to be announced soon.

Johnny Depp was the recipient of the first ever distinguished artisan award at this year’s event.
