Peter Chernin’s CA Media Picks Kamat as COO

HONG KONG – Peter Chernin’s Asian investment company CA Media has elevated Rajesh Kamat as its COO.

Kamat, currently CEO of CA India, will relocate to Singapore from April and report to Paul Aiello, CA Media Group’s Hong Kong-based CEO.  Kamat will provide strategic guidance to the group’s existing portfolio investments in the region. He will also support Aiello in identifying and managing growth opportunities for CA Media in Asia.

CA Media, the Asian investment arm of The Chernin Group, focuses its activity on India, Indonesia and China. It was founded in partnership with Aiello in November 2010 with a mandate to build, manage and operate media, entertainment and technology businesses throughout Asia.

CA Media India’s current investments include strategic stakes in Endemol India, Only Much Louder (OML), Graphic India, and a wholly-owned online influencer network, FLUENCE.

Kamat was formerly the COO of Viacom18 Group and CEO of COLORS, a leading Indian television network.
