HONG KONG – American faith-based channel TBN, part of Trinity Broadcasting Network, has begun broadcasting in Hong Kong on the territory’s largest pay-TV platform now TV.
Played out from TBN’s Asia broadcast hub in the Philippines, the channel’s programming is predominantly in English, with the addition of some “regionally produced Mandarin-language inspirational programming.” More local content is expected to be added over the coming months.
There are some 1,300 Christian congregations in the Cantonese-speaking territory.
With 26 networks worldwide, the TBN group claims to be the world’s largest faith-and-family television group, airing church and ministry programming, Christian music, family-friendly movies, children’s programming, and shows for teens and young adults. It operates via 87 satellites and 20,000 television and cable affiliates globally.
