Michigan’s appeal to producers is based on strong incentives and an experienced crew base.
In October, legislation passed the state Senate that could change the existing incentive to a flat 25% for residents and non-residents, above- and below-the-line, with an additional 3% at a qualifying facility. The bill removes the sunset date, and adds the potential for a 35% rebate for post.
The state’s House of Representatives is expected to take up the bill in December.
