California is back in the incentives game.
On Sept. 18, Gov. Jerry Brown signed Assembly Bill 1839, tripling the state’s production tax breaks to $330 million.
The bill replaces the lottery system with a jobs-based model that sunsets on June 30, 2020. The final $100 million in the existing program will be allocated July 1, 2015, with the new program adding $230 million for fiscal year 2015–2016 at that same time.
In subsequent years, the program will receive $330 million in funding.
