Glen MacPherson, a cinematographer with more than 20 years of experience and one of the early adopters of 3D technology, is among the jurors for the 3D films competition at Camerimage, the international film festival that focuses on the art of cinematography.
The competition is organized by Camerimage and International 3D & Advanced Imaging Society, which consists of more than 1,800 members working to advance the creative arts and sciences of stereoscopic 3D and 4K.
The jury also includes Jim Chabin, president of International 3D & Advanced Imaging Society; Barry Sandrew, a member of International 3D & Advanced Imaging Society’s board of governors; Phil McNally, stereoscopic vfx supervisor at Condition One; Markus Lanxinger, a stereographer/stereoscopic supervisor with extensive work experience in stereoscopic 3D; Steve Schklair, founder of 3ality Digital; and Grant Anderson, a producer, visual effects supervisor and digital artist.
The 3D Films competition will also include Q&A sessions with the jury members and 3D filmmakers. Camerimage takes place from Nov. 15-22 in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
