Under the Dome” continues to perform well for CBS on Monday, as the drama edged up week to week to log its best scores in three weeks. NBC didn’t do much, meanwhile, with its special on the birth of Britain’s royal baby, as the net trailed its rivals in key demos during the hour.

According to preliminary national estimates from Nielsen, “Under the Dome” averaged a 2.8 rating/8 share in adults 18-49 and 11.4 million viewers overall to easily stand as Monday’s top program in both categories. “Dome” was up a tick in the demo from last week (2.7) — and, for the first time, also grew a bit in its second half-hour — while adding about 300,000 viewers overall (from 11.1 million a week ago).

“Dome” remains easily summer’s top-rated scripted program, and again had to build sharply off its lead-in from a repeat of “Mike & Molly” (1.2/3 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall). Earlier in the evening for CBS were encores of “How I Met Your Mother” (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall), “2 Broke Girls” (1.0/3 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall) and “2 Broke Girls” (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall).

Elsewhere, ABC tied CBS (and Univision) for the night’s 18-49 lead behind “The Bachelorette” (1.9/6 in 18-49, 6.5 million viewers overall), which was up a tenth from last week in the demo with its “The Men Tell All” special. Also up was 10 p.m. drama “Mistresses” (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall), which hit series highs in adults 18-34 (1.1/4) and women 18-34 (1.6/5).

NBC ran second to ABC from 8 to 10 p.m. with “American Ninja Warrior” (1.6/5 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall), which matched last week’s score, and “Get Out Alive With Bear Grylls” (1.4/4 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall), which was up a tenth. Closing out the night was news special “Dateline: The Little Prince” (1.0/3 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall), which was an improvement over last week’s drama “Siberia” (0.8/2 in 18-49, 2.4 million) but still lagged its competition in the 10 o’clock hour.

Fox’s entire repeat comedy block was up a bit week to week: “Raising Hope” at 8 (0.8/3 in 18-49, 2.3 million viewers overall) and 8:30 (0.7/2 in 18-49, 1.9 million viewers overall), “New Girl” (0.7/2 in 18-49, 1.7 million viewers overall) and “The Mindy Project” (0.7/2 in 18-49, 1.7 million viewers overall).

At CW, ballet reality series “Breaking Pointe” returned to low numbers (0.2/1 in 18-49, 0.5 million viewers overall).

Preliminary 18-49 averages for the night: ABC, CBS and Univision, 1.7/5; NBC, 1.3/4; Fox, 0.7/2; Telemundo, 0.6/2; CW, 0.2/1.

In total viewers: CBS, 6.8 million; ABC, 5.7 million; Univision, 4.2 million; NBC, 4.0 million; Fox, 1.9 million; CW, 0.6 million.
