Zodiak Teams With Apploff to Create Unscripted Formats

Apploff and Zodiak have worked together in the past on 'Don't Forget the Lyrics'

Zodiak Americas has partnered with showrunner Jeff Apploff and his shingle Apploff Entertainment.

Pact — the first of its kind of Zodiak Americas — calls for Apploff to create new reality formats that will be co-produced with Zodiak in the U.S., and distributed internationally by Zodiak Rights.

“We’ve designed this deal as the template for the future of our North American business,” said Jonny Slow, CEO of Zodiak Americas. “It allows producers like Jeff to remain independent and maintain a distinctive voice while simultaneously providing them with a highly motivated international partner and the global infrastructure necessary to drive a hit show.”

Apploff and Zodiak already share a history, since Apploff created and produced almost 150 hours of RDF/Zodiak gameshow “Don’t Forget the Lyrics.”

Apploff Entertainment will now be based in Zodiak’s Santa Monica office. Shingle will also now have access to Zodiak’s local development teams in over 20 countries around the world as a part of the deal.
