Style amps originals with 3 series greenlights, 2 renewals

Live advice show, 'Rich and Famous' reboot on deck for NBCU cabler

Style is making good on its plan to boost the volume of original programming this year with greenlights for three new programs and renewals for two.

NBCUniversal cabler also confirmed it is developing a reality skein with Charlize Theron.

Among the new skeins, “Pop Style,” from Embassy Row, is a live weekly program hosted by Jeannie Mai and Louise Roe. Duo will advise viewers on beauty, fashion, lifestyle and pop culture, along with a rotating panel of experts. Michael Davies is as exec producer.

“Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” reboots the original Robin Leach-hosted program and pulls back the curtain of the lives of the wealthy. (VH1 did its own reboot in the early 2000s with “The Fabulous Life Of…”). “Rich and Famous” is produced by RelativityREAL with Television 360 and Rysher Entertainment. Tom Forman, Brad Bishop, Daniel Rappaport, Scott Lambert and Patrick Gunn all serve as exec producer.

“Luxe Life Miami,” from Atlas Media Corp., follows the life and biz of Katrina Campins, former contestant on NBC’s “The Apprentice” who currently works as a high-end Miami real estate agent and caters to celebs. Bruce David Klein exec produces the docuseries.

Style’s latest addition to the development slate is “Glam Squad,” with Theron exec producing. “Glam Squad” dives into the world of makeup and hair teams. In each episode, auds will follow three beauty teams as they vie from the same high-stakes job, like a big budget music video, fashion magazine shoot, or red carpet event.

Bunim-Murray Prods. will produce “Glam Squad” with Theron’s shingle, Denver & Delilah Films. Jonathan Murray, Gil Goldschein, Beth Kono, A.J. Dix and William Shively also exec produce.

Style has renewed “Giuliana & Bill” and “Tia & Tamera” for sixth and third seasons, respectively, both of which will bow this summer. “Giuliana & Bill” is produced by Comcast Entertainment Studios with the Rancics’ You & I Prods. “Tia & Tamera” is produced by Good Clean Fun.
