Fox is heading back to the dance floor with its veteran competition program, renewing “So You Think You Can Dance” for an eleventh season.

Announcement arrived during tonight’s live finale of the show, which was also interrupted by President Obama’s live national address to the American public regarding the crisis in Syria.

“So You Think You Can Dance,” which has logged over 200 episodes on Fox, has been averaging roughly 4 million viewers during its 10th run on the network, a figure not that far behind Fox’s other niche competition show, “MasterChef.”

Season order is one of the first unscripted renewals to occur at Fox after alternative chief Mike Darnell exited the network in May. His post has yet to be filled, and former Fox Sports chairman David Hill has stepped in to oversee “American Idol” and “The X Factor” in the interim.
