Shine America has tapped Rob Hughes as vice prez of marketing, and Kevin Ivey as exec director of research. Pair will be based in Shine’s Los Angeles office, and report to Vivi Zigler, president of Shine 360 and Digital, Shine America.
Hughes joins Shine from Saban Brands, where he was executive director of marketing and communications. In his new post, Hughes is tasked with overseeing marketing responsibilities for the production company, working with both network and digital partners on initiatives for Shine’s slate of unscripted programming, and forthcoming scripted shows including FX’s “The Bridge.”
Ivey transitions to Shine from NBCU cablers Syfy and Chiller, where he served as veep of program research. Ivey will forge a new research department at Shine America, working in tandem with the shingle’s scripted, unscripted, digital, publicity, Shine Latino and Shine 360 teams.
“As we continue to expand our reach, the addition of both marketing and research departments to complement our scripted, unscripted and digital teams was a natural next step for us here at Shine America,” said Zigler. “And Rob and Kevin are the ideal executives to lead us into these two new areas, bringing a wealth of experience in their respective fields.”
