Segal signed on at Deedle-Dee Prods.

New manager of development worked with Daniels on 'The Office'

Brittney Segal has been tapped as manager of development for Greg Daniels’ Deedle-Dee Prods. shingle.

She worked with Daniels at “The Office” and will join Tracy Katsky Boomer and Howard Klein in overseeing Deedle-Dee’s strong pilot output heading into the fall season.

“Brittney proved her worth this fall,” Daniels told Variety. “She combines a love of television, a talent for storytelling, good judgment and a tremendous work ethic. I am extremely pleased to give her an early step in what will undoubtedly be a brilliant Hollywood career.”

Daniels’ shingle has five projects spread across the broadcast spectrum. Three are currently gestating at NBC, all with connections to his Peacock staple “The Office.”

One project is written by “Office” scribe Owen Ellickson and stars Craig Robinson. There’s also a pilot written by Brian Baumgartner as well as another written by Robert Padnick — both of “The Office” — and Alan Yang of NBC’s “Parks and Recreation.”

At Fox, Deedle-Dee has a comedy penned by Tom Gormican and Richie Keen, while Harris Wittels is writing a pilot for ABC.
