Participant lines up execs for cabler

New network to appeal to young adult demo

Participant Media is lining up execs for its entry into the cable TV biz later this year.

Still unnamed network, which will feature socially relevant programming, is set to appeal to 18-34 year-olds. Former IFC and Sundance topper Evan Shapiro has previously been announced as president.

Now on board are John Arianas, who will serve as exec VP of advertising sales and partnerships; Stephanie Ruyle, exec VP of content distribution and affiliate partnerships; and Karen Ramspacher, senior VP of research and insights.

Arianas most recently served at Current TV, Ruyle at Viacom and Ramspacher at Fuse.

Said Shapiro of the additions: “These roles are pivotal to our success and we are very lucky to have them on our team.”
