Fox has added a new name to “The List,” tapping Michael Pena to topline the pilot.

Drama centers on a hunt by the U.S. Marshal Service to find the person who stole a file that reveals the identities of everyone in the Federal Witness Security Program. Pena will play Soto, an inspector with the U.S. Marshal Service who, while a maverick, often gets into trouble with the bureaucratic powers that be. Soto struggles with obsessions, but his disorder makes him one of the most focused and purposeful investigators when protecting witnesses in the Witness Security Program.

Pena joins a cast that includes Richard T. Jones and Charity Wakefield. Paul Zbyszewski penned the pilot for “The List” and will exec produce with Ruben Fleischer.

Along with “End of Watch,” Pena’s credits include “Crash” and “Eastbound and Down.” He will next be seen in Diego Luna’s “Chavez,” in which he plays Cesar Chavez.

Pena is repped by CAA.
