Mario Lopez to Stick with ‘X Factor,’ Khloe Kardashian Not Returning

News confirms rumors of Kardashian's departure from the singing competition show

Mario Lopez is set to reclaim his gig as host of Fox’s “The X Factor.” Season two co-host Khloe Kardashian, however, will not return to the show.

The producers of the program issued a statement: “Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to co-host ‘The X Factor.’ We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

Also confirmed for season three of the singing competish skein are judges Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato, both of whom sat at the judges’ table last season. Gone from their judging posts will be Britney Spears, who logged one season on ‘X Factor,’ and L.A. Reid.

“I’m thrilled Mario is back for season three,” said Cowell. “Hosting a live show and keeping the judges – especially Demi – in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he’s coming back.”

Season three of “The X Factor” bows this fall. Program was created by Syco Entertainment and is produced by Syco and FremantleMedia North America.
