Never a big ratings draw, the critical favorite matched its 2012 finale audience and was a bit above its 2011 finale (2.44 million). As many shows do, it delivered a larger audience when it kicked off its season, delivering 3.37 million for its two-hour premiere on April 7.
In the most recent DVR playback data available (for the episode of June 9), “Mad Men” added 1.5 million viewers from its same-night estimate (2.2 million) to its Live+7 total (3.7 million). AMC said that this season, “Mad Men” was the most upscale-skewing drama on cable based on adults 25-54 living in homes earning $100,000 or more.
The finale season of “Mad Men” will air next summer.
