After news broke in September that longtime “Entertainment Tonight” exec producer Linda Bell Blue would be exiting the show, CBS TV Distribution announced today that Bell Blue has inked a multi-year deal to serve as prez of the newly created Entertainment Tonight Studios.
Transition to her prexy post seals the deal on her departure from the syndicated newsmag, where Bell Blue logged 19 years as an executive producer. DJ Petroro and Linda Fuller will serve as exec producers on “E.T.”
In her new role, Bell Blue will oversee the creation of “E.T.”-branded series and specials for cable, broadcast and digital platforms through Entertainment Tonight Studios.
“Linda Bell Blue has been an integral part of the CBS family for almost two decades running the No. 1 syndicated entertainment newsmagazine in the world,” said Armando Nuñez, president and CEO of CBS Global Distribution Group. “We have created Entertainment Tonight Studios to serve the unending thirst for pop-culture-themed content and to continue to expand the stellar E.T. brand.”
“I am excited to take the esteemed and well-established ‘E.T.’ name to the next level,” Bell Blue said.
