As vice prez of public relations, Garnick will be tasked with the overall communications strategy for Pivot, along with the TV program publicity, talent relations, events, awards campaigns and corporate and consumer initiatives for TakePart and TakePart Live.
Garnick will be based in Los Angeles and report to Kent Rees, exec veep of marketing, scheduling and operations.
The flack joins Pivot from the Independent Film & TV Alliance, where she served as veep of communications. She has also logged years handling publicity for SpinMedia, and began her career at The Lippin Group.

Pivot, a socially-conscious net targeting younger demos, is slated to launch in 40 million homes this August.
