James Franco has landed a two-episode arc on Fox’s “The Mindy Project,” it was announced today.
His arc on the Mindy Kaling comedy will be during the premiere of the show’s second season on Sept. 17, and the following episode on Sept. 24.
Franco has been cast as Dr. Paul Leotard, a model-turned-doctor who replaces Mindy at Shulman & Associates while she is in Haiti doing volunteer work.
News of Franco’s casting follows Comedy Central’s announcement that Franco will be the latest celeb to be roasted on the cable net next month.
“The Mindy Project” is produced by 3 Arts Entertainment in association with Universal TV. Series is exec produced by Kaling, Howard Klein, Matt Warburton, Michael Spiller and Jack Burditt.
