Hollywood exex to address Indian confab

Disney, Viacom, Sony repped at media conference

MUMBAI — Several senior Hollywood execs are set to speak at Frames, India’s annual media and entertainment convention, which runs March 12-14.

Speakers include Andy Bird, chairman of Walt Disney Intl., Robert M. Bakish, president and chief exec of Viacom Intl. Media Networks, Andy Kaplan, president, international networks, at Sony Pictures Television Intl., and filmmaker Taylor Hackford, who is president of the Directors’ Guild of America.

Helmers Mira Nair and Gurinder Chadha, Teri Schwartz, dean of UCLA School of Theater, Film and TV, and Dominic Proctor, president of media investment management company Group M Worldwide are some of the other speakers.

The partner country for the conference this year is Korea.

Other events include the European Film Co-Production Lounge, where European producers with India-themed projects will discuss partnerships with Indian partners, and the second edition of the Frames Market, where international buyers will meet with Indian sellers.
