Sarah Silverman has signed on to do her first comedy special for HBO, the network announced.
Scheduled for air on the paybler this fall, “Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles” will tape in Los Angeles in May.
“Sarah Silverman is a fresh, fearless and utterly original comedy voice,” HBO programming prexy Michael Lombardo said. “I’m thrilled that we can bring the humor of this unique talent to our viewers.”
Silverman has previous HBO experience with “Mr. Show With Bob and David,” “The Larry Sanders Show” and “Real Time With Bill Maher.” She has been nominated for two performance Emmys, including comedy lead actress for Comedy Central’s “The Sarah Silverman Program,” and shared an Emmy for her contributions to the original music and lyrics of the “I’m F***ing Matt Damon” song on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
Heidi Herzon, Mike Farah, Anna Wenger, Betsy Koch, Amy Zvi and Silverman will exec produce the special for Funny or Die and Black Gold Films.
