“Glee” co-creator Ryan Murphy and star Lea Michele gathered with cast and crew members from the show on the Paramount stages Thursday to say goodbye to actor Cory Monteith.
Monteith, 31, who played sweet-natured jock Finn on the teen musical drama-comedy, was found dead of an overdose on July 13 in a Vancouver, British Columbia hotel room.
“I’ll never forget all the laughs we shared or the faces we made after awkward interview questions. Love and miss you, buddy,” co-star Chris Colfer, who played Moneith’s step-brother Kurt on the show, said via an Instagram post.
The “Glee” team was joined at Paramount by colleagues from the network and studio at the event, which was closed to media.
“We thank the public for their continued outpouring of love and support as we grieve our friend and colleague during this difficult time,” “Glee” producer 20th Century Fox TV said in a statement.
Because of Monteith’s sudden death, Fox is delaying this upcoming season premiere of “Glee.” Murphy has also stated that the show will address this tragedy.
