Fox Sports Promotes Marketing Guru Robert Gottlieb

Robert Gottlieb upped to exec veep of marketing

Fox Sports has promoted senior veep and head of marketing Robert Gottlieb to exec veep of marketing.

Gottlieb, named to his previous position in February, oversees Fox Sports’ consumer marketing efforts on all platforms and played a key role in this month’s rebranding and launch of national cable sports networks Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2.

“We appointed Robert head of marketing with every confidence that he would maintain the high level of creative excellence that has been a Fox Sports trademark since 1994, elevating our linear and digital assets to new heights,” said Fox Sports co-prexy and COO Randy Freer. “Clearly, he has exceeded our expectations. The marketing campaign for the launch of Fox Sports 1 Robert developed and implemented with his team over the last several months was nothing short of brilliant, helping establish a clear brand identity in a very crowded marketplace.”

Gottlieb joined Fox Sports in 2004 as VP/creative director of on-air promotions.
