Esquire greenlights two reality series

Shows from Ryan Seacrest, Zodiak get greenlight

Esquire Network further ramped up its original programming slate in preparation for its transformation from G4, greenlighting reality skeins from Ryan Seacrest Prods. and Zodiak New York.

“How I Rock It,” from the Seacrest shingle and Citizen Jones, is a half-hour program hosted by NBA star Baron Davis that features profiles on athletes, musicians, celebs, designers and street-style icons. Six-part series will examine what made each profiled man a trendsetter in the personal style space.

“Risky Listing,” from Zodiak’s Gotham arm, highlights the world of high-end New York nightlife real estate. Each hourlong episode follows agents as they cut deals for bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

” ‘How I Rock It’ is really for all those guys who’ve admired another man’s style but were afraid to ask how they got it,” Esquire original programming head Matt Hanna said. “We’re going to be the middleman for them with this series. And in ‘Risky Listing,’ we’re going to take our viewers inside the high-stakes, big-ego world of New York nightlife real estate to see these listings-agent gladiators go toe-to-toe.”

Programs join the recently announced original series “Knife Fight” and “The Getaway” in Esquire’s lineup. Last week, the net also announced that it has attained rights to air episodes of NBC’s “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” a week after they are originally broadcast on NBC.
