E! is taking viewers under the knife with “Botched,” a reality series centering on the world of extreme plastic surgery.
From Evolution Media, program will feature Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif as they work with victims of ill-fated, botched cosmetic procedures and attempt to “undo” and fix their plastic surgery results, from tummy tucks to nose jobs. Each seg will spotlight two surgeries and explore the back stories behind the procedures gone awry.
E! has ordered eight standalone episodes of “Botched” and will debut the series next summer/fall.
“In a culture fixated on looks, I think we are equally fascinated by stories of both good and terrible plastic surgery,” said Jeff Olde, exec veep of Programming & Development. “As more and more people endure multiple procedures for that perfect look, all too often the outcome can be a nightmare. But with the help of two of the best doctors in the field, ‘Botched’ will offer them a second chance at beauty.”
