Adding a big dose of liberal perspective to its air, Fox News Channel has tapped former Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich as a contributor.
Under the pact, Kucinich will provide analysis and commentary for Fox News’ daytime and primetime programming, beginning with “The O’Reilly Factor” on Thursday.
Kucinich was one of the most liberal voices in the House of Representatives for the past 16 years. He was elected in 1997 and served until this month. He mounted presidential bids in 2004 and 2008, and he also served as an Ohio state senator for two years.
“Through 16 years in Congress and two presidential campaigns, Fox News has always provided me with an opportunity to share my perspective with its enormous viewership. I look forward to a continuation of our relationship this time as a FOX News contributor,” Kucinich said.
Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes added: “I’ve always been impressed with Rep. Kucinich’s fearlessness and thoughtfulness about important issues. His willingness to take a stand from his point of view makes him a valuable voice in our country’s debate.”
