David Spade joins ABC comedy pilot

'Rules of Engagement' star aboard 'Bad Management'

David Spade has joined the cast of ABC’s comedy pilot “Bad Management.”

Workplace laffer from ABC Studios centers on a woman working at a high-end department store who runs into trouble when her boss’ son shows up and makes youth and sex the new company focus. Spade will play Tobias, Jr., the son of the department store owner.

Spade has starred in CBS comedy “Rules of Engagement” since 2007. While Spade has not ankled the Eye series, his deal is up at the end of this season, allowing the WME-repped thesp to be cast in new projects without putting them second in line to “Rules.”

Also cast in “Bad Management” is Rachael Harris as Linda, one of the department store employees.
