TNT’s “Dallas” hit a season high last night as it bid farewell to J.R. Ewing, drawing over 3.5 million viewers.

Number marks a 28% surge in viewers compared to last week’s episode, which pulled around 2.8 million.

Program was up in key demos for the J.R. goodbye, including in adults 18-49 and women 25-54. “Dallas” continues to tick upwards after a shaky start for its second season in late January, and Monday night’s broadcast marks the fifth consecutive week of growth for the drama.

Episode, titled “J.R.’s Masterpiece,” paid tribute to the iconic “Dallas” character and actor Larry Hagman, who passed away in November after logging years on both the original and rebooted versions of “Dallas.”
