Coco Rocha, Karolina Kurkova Exit Oxygen’s ‘The Face’

Lydia Hearst, Anne V to coach second season of the Oxygen unscripted program

Supermodel coaches Coco Rocha and Karolina Kurkova have ankled Oxygen’s modelling competition “The Face” after just one season.

Anne V and Lydia Hearst will replace the pair as coaches on season two of the reality series, guiding a crop of aspiring models through a series of photoshoot and runway challenges as they compete to become the face of a brand.

Announcement of Anne V and Hearst’s addition to the program follows speculation that Rocha and Kurkova exited the show due to tension with fellow judge and exec producer Naomi Campbell. Oxygen wholly denied that rumor.

Rocha and Kurkova’s names, however, were not once mentioned in the announcement of Anne V and Hearst’s new posts.

“’The Face’ is as much about the competition between the aspiring models as is it between the supermodel coaches.  For season two, we wanted to up the ante and have the fiercely competitive Naomi battle it out with two new regarded supermodels in the industry.  Introducing Anne V and Lydia Hearst as supermodel coaches brings a fresh dynamic to the high stakes competition, which is sure to deliver drama and intense emotion as they vie to find the newest face of a well-known brand,” said Rod Aissa, senior veep of original programming and development at Oxygen Media

“The Face” was renewed for a second season in April, and is produced by Shine America.
