Laura Clunie has been upped to VP of creative affairs for eOne, charged with expanding its eOne Family division in North America.
Previously based in London as head of development and production for eOne Family, Clunie will relocate in March to Toronto, where she will oversee acquisition and development of all family content.
Clunie joined eOne in 2008 after five years at production company Chorion. At eOne she worked on hit family skeins including “Peppa Pig” and “Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom.”
“As brand awareness for ‘Peppa Pig’ continues to increase in Canada and the U.S., It has become increasingly important to have a dedicated person on the ground to deepen our relations with broadcasters and content owners and scope out new opportunities for kids’ programming in the region,” said Olivier Dumont, managing director of eOne Family. “With Clunie’s strong international contacts and vision for new content she’s the perfect choice for this role.” Clunie’s team will include director of development Swin Chang, based in Toronto, production and development exec Lorna Burkle and acquisitions exec Lorna Withrington in London, whom she previously managed. — Rob Mitchell
