Charlize Theron, Bunim-Murray Forge Joint Venture for Reality TV

Unscripted studio and Theron have already partnered for Style program 'Glam Wars'

Charlize Theron’s production company Denver & Delilah and unscripted shingle Bunim-Murray Prods. have formed a joint venture to develop and produce reality programming.

Pact marks Bunim-Murray’s first production joint venture, and Colleen Ocean Hall has been tapped senior veep of development in the venture. Ocean Hall most recently served as senior v.p. of alternative programming for original media, and ran development at Ashton Kutcher’s shingle Katalyst Films and TV.

The joint venture follows Bunim-Murray and Denver & Delilah teaming for Style Network competition show “Glam Wars,” which Theron is exec producing. Denver & Delilah, a banner for Theron and partners Beth Kono and AJ Dix, has primarily produced in the film space, with credits including “Young Adult” and “East of Havana.”

“This partnership makes sense for Bunim-Murray as we continue to develop new programming with top talent across broadcast and cable. As we developed ‘Glam Wars,’ we realized there were so many possible projects to partner on and this joint venture is a natural evolution.” said Gil Goldschein, prez of Bunim-Murray. “With Colleen on board we will be able to realize our very ambitious plans.”

Jonathan Murray, chairman of the shingle, added: “Charlize and her Denver & Delilah team have wonderful instincts and a fresh perspective which we think is a big plus in creating and selling reality television.”
